Mercy's Client: Bella

Bella is a rat terrier who stayed with her sister, Jassy. She stayed with us during the week of the cold snap so I put her one of my dog's sweaters and made sure she was covered with blankets. She loved to cozy up at night with her mommy's and sister's clothes. It was beautiful how she would smell their clothers and then bed down. During the day, I would put one of Princess' diva collars so she would not feel cold around her neck. Bella was in a special diet so she ate chicken only, and the treats that her mommy brought. We enjoyed having Bella stay with us and being part of the record breaking coldest week in decades. Hurry back Bella!

Mercy's pet sitting guest: Peter and Pan

Peter and Pan (aka Grumbles and Winky) stayed with us over the holidays. They are inseparable. They walked together on the leash side by side and believe me they would not lose sight of each other. At first they were a little bit nervous but by the end of the night they made themselves at home. They would follow me everywhere and loved to go to the backyard and run back and forth. Of course, I had to run as well if not they would not do it for fear that I was leaving. In the middle of the day, they got a toy and ran back and forth around the house fighting with each other and making all sorts of funny noises. On Christmas day they were sitting on top of the sofa watching as my family opened the gifts. By the end of the night, after so much playing, walking on the leash and running exhaustion would kick in and it was time to bed down. We really loved having Grumbles and Winky stay with us during the Christmas holidays and are happy that they coming back at the end of this month. Can't wait to see you guys.

Lucy is a pug which stayed with us during the Christmas holidays. She is a puppy and had a lot of energy. She would run so fast that my dog, Sparky, which is 11 had no idea what just went by him. It was hilarious. It was so funny because if you tried wearing socks, she would make sure that she took them off your feet. You could not walk without her making sure your laces were undone. She loved to go on her long walks and was very proud because her mommy and daddy had just potty trained her. On Christmas day, she was right next to us while the family and the rest of our temporary extended family (the doggies) opened the gifts. We dressed her up with Princess' dress. We really loved and enjoyed having Lucy over and are looking forward for her to stay with us again. See you soon Ms. Lucy. Sparky misses you.

Holiday full house: Iris@cagelessboarding.com - Hollywood FL

Here are some pics from the gang that spent the holidays with me. I had everyone hanging out in my room with me and decided to pull out the camera to capture a few candids of the bunch. As soon as I pointed my camera at Lola, the adorable English Bulldog, she started to growl! I think she doesn't like her picture taken. She is a funny one, dominating all the other dogs, even the big teddy bear of a Rotty, Scooby.Scooby is so big but that didn't deter Lola one bit! She looked like some sort of UFC fighter diving off the bed onto the group of dogs below her, taking turns pinning each one down with her big belly! I was too busy laughing to get photos of this, but it was quite a sight. I had Lola, the English Bulldog, Scooby, the Rotty, and Two Socks, the beautiful and timid husky/wolf here with me along with my little guy, Rascal, a German Shephard pup and pain in the butt! The whole group was a comical pack and got along really well. They were really fun to have around for the holidays and made it a little brighter for me. Wish I could have gotten more shots of them but here are a few to share, unfortunately this is after the beauty Two Socks had left. She really was a lovely dog. Next time I will get shots of her too!
enjoy! and Happy New Years!

Sassy is a beautiful and lovable boxer. She was extremely sweet. She loved to play tug-of-war and go for long walks. She was very attentive of everything that was happening around her. She loved to give you tons of kisses. She would pass next to Sparky and Princess (my dogs) and give them each a kiss. It was the funniest thing. Then, she would come to me and lick me continuously. She always was with me. She did not like to be alone for one minute. When it was night time, she would follow me to my room and go to bed on her bed that her mommy brought her. I love Sassy and can't wait for her to come back. See you soon Sassy.

Mercy's guest - Lucky

Lucky was a beautiful nine year old Maltese. He was full of energy and would run around the entire house but always came back to find me quickly. He was always ready for his "treats". He loved to go for long walks around the neighborhood and meet all the other doggies in the area. Lucky was very smart. He loved to cuddle next to you so you could kiss him and hug him. I loved to carried him and hug him really tight. He was that lovable. The minute he heard the leash, he would run as fast as he could so I could take him out for his walk. Betsy - Guest of Mercy@cagelessboarding.com

Betsy is a three and a half year old Golden Retriever. I would give Betsy a treat, and she would wait until my dogs had their treat before she ate hers. She loved to play ball, and when she got the ball, she made sure she had a tight grip and believe me no one, I mean no one, would take that ball away from her. She would walk all around the house for like 5 minutes with the ball in her mouth. Betsy loved to be scratched. The minute you sat down you had to scratch her. If you stopped, she would push you with her body and make sure you start scratching her again. You could not stop. After twenty minutes scratching, your arm was about to fall but Betsy was content. She had beautiful puppy eyes that would stare at you and you could not tell her no. I can't wait to have Betsy back. I miss you. Come back soon Betsy!!!

Oliver - Mercy's guest

Oliver is a 12 year old Bichon Frise. Oliver got along great with Sparky and Princess. The three of them slept next to each other. Oliver has allergies so he could only eat the treats his mommy and daddy brought him. He is so smart that he knew which was his house the first day I took him for a walk. You could not say the word "walk" because Oliver was ready to go faster than you could say the word. Even though he is 12 years old, he is in great shape and could walk for 1/2 hour to 45 minutes. He loved to sit in the sofa and watch television with us. The first night when we got ready to go to sleep, he made sure to tell us that he was not about to sleep on the floor. He made himself comfortable under our comforter. I began decorating for Christmas, and I put him a Santa Claus hat. He looks so beautiful on the picture. Oliver is extremely well behaved, beautiful and lovable and I just can't wait to have him back. Oliver please call back and visit soon.
